Helsinki Regional Transport has begun the rollout of EMV contactless payments across the Finnish capital’s rail, bus and ferry network.

“Work on this deployment begins immediately, starting with a flat-fare pilot for the city’s ferry route,” technology supplier Littlepay says.

“Rollout to rail and bus, and the introduction of fare capping, will follow.”

UPDATE: Littlepay has contacted us to let us know that, while the contract has been awarded, the ferry pilot is not yet live.
