Comment policy

Our aim is to keep comments on this site useful and informative, so that readers feel they represent a fair exchange for the time invested in reading them. So you’ll know in advance if we’ll publish your comment or not, please take a moment to look through the following points before you start writing:

  1. First, we love comments!
  2. Commenting is not necessarily enabled on all items.
  3. We’re looking for comments that add something to the conversation or advance the debate.
  4. Please use your real name and affiliation when commenting. This is a business-oriented site used by professionals in the course of their work, so using your real name should generally be beneficial for you and your industry profile.
  5. Keeping your comment short and to the point always helps.
  6. Relevant links in comments are absolutely encouraged.
  7. We may edit your comment, to clean up grammar or to remove parts like over-long ‘signatures’ or irrelevant links. However, we will strive to preserve the meaning and intent of your comment.
  8. Irrelevant links in comments are not encouraged, and will usually be deleted.
  9. We delete spam, even the slightly clever stuff.
  10. We won’t publish comments that are insulting, offensive or libellous.
  11. This is a business site, so please keep the tone of your comments at the same level you would expect in a meeting with external clients.
  12. We require your email address when you comment, but this is never published. We may use it to contact you if we need clarification on your comment.
  13. We generally don’t publish ‘me too’ or ‘I blogged about this at…’ comments, and the comment section isn’t here to help with your content marketing efforts — that’s what our advertising and promotional services are for.
  14. This language of this site is English, so we generally don’t publish comments in languages other than English.
  15. We don’t publish comments that are all about building your inward links or sending traffic to your site. If you’d like to do that we have many different advertising options available.
  16. We reserve the right to edit, delete, move, or mark as spam any comments submitted to this site.
  17. All comments posted to this site are the sole responsibility of the commenter, not the site’s owner, administrators, contributors, editors or authors. By submitting a comment you agree that the content is your own, and to hold SJB Research Ltd and all subsidiaries and representatives harmless from any and all repercussions, damages, or liability.
  18. And don’t forget rule #1: We love comments!
