The HTC One X is the 2012 flagship handset for the Taiwanese phone giant, featuring a 4.7-inch 1280 by 720 display, quad-core Tegra 3 processor, Android 4.0 and NFC. Similarly spec’d, the HTC One XL was released June in Europe and differentiated by LTE. It will also be one of the first LTE phones to be released in UK, exclusively on the EE (Everything Everywhere) network, otherwise known as the combined Orange and T-Mobile network.
Details of the device — previously rumoured as the HTC Edge — were inadvertently revealed on Orange UK’s website during the weekend preceding 2012’s Mobile World Congress, with its arrival being confirmed by HTC at a launch event on 26 February.
The One X is now available globally and is exclusive to AT&T in the US, where it has LTE.
MasterCard has certified the HTC One X to work with yet-to-launch Google Wallet in the UK and Europe and for use with Isis on AT&T in the US.
