HTC to unveil at least one NFC phone at MWC

The internet rumour mill has been running overtime with a series of leaked details of new HTC phones to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress. Confirmation that at least one of the phones will come with NFC has now appeared for the first time with the fleeting display of the HTC One X, marked as ‘coming soon’, on the Orange UK online store.

According to the Orange store, as well as NFC, “this super-fast, sleek and sociable smartphone boasts a powerful quad-core processor and a brilliant 4.7-inch touchscreen”. The phone includes an 8MP camera, runs Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich and is believed to be the previously rumoured HTC Edge/Endeavour.

Two further phones, the HTC One S and the HTC One V, are also on their way, according to Greek website FullGSM. It’s not yet known, however, whether these devices will also include NFC.

UPDATE: HTC has confirmed that the HTC One X will arrive in April and will include NFC, The Verge reports, but the HTC One S and the HTC One V will not. A video showing the device is also now available:
