Gemalto and Prosa bring HCE payments to Mexico

PARTNER NEWS: Digital security giant Gemalto and payment processor Prosa have partnered to bring host card emulation (HCE) based mobile payments to Mexico. Prosa operates in eight Latin American countries and will be offering the service to all of its customers, which include “95% of credit, debit and prepaid card issuers in Mexico”. More

Vodafone to roll out NFC mobile ticketing in Spanish cities

Vodafone Spain is to begin rolling out NFC mobile ticketing through its Vodafone Wallet in cities across Spain. The mobile network operator has teamed up with Gemalto and transport ticket provider PrePay Technologies to develop the platform, which will enable “any public transport agency or body to offer mobile accessible public transport”. More

G&D connects its issuers to MDES for tokenization

PARTNER NEWS: Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) has integrated its Convego CloudPay solution with the MasterCard Digital Enablement Service (MDES) to enable issuers to work directly with G&D to implement tokenization for their host card emulation (HCE) based wallets. The partnership marks the first time a third party company will offer MDES tokenization services directly to issuing banks. More

NXP and Qualcomm deepen collaboration to include pre-validation for NFC transit services
