Sony Music is using NFC to promote artist Foxes’ new single ‘Let Go for Tonight’, using NFC-enabled standees placed at the point of sale in coffee shops located around London’s Oxford Street.
By tapping their phone on the standee, supplied by Tabletalk Media, consumers will be able to pre-order the song on iTunes or watch Foxes’ video for the song on YouTube.

great idea, but somehow, ‘tapping your NFC phone on a standee to pre-order your song on iTunes’ just doesn’t make sense to me, unless you know something the rest of the world doesn’t?
The NFC link on the standees is to the video. Not to purchase the song from iTunes.
Thanks 🙂
