Chinese smartphone manufacturer ZTE announced the Orbit in February 2012 at the Mobile World Congress. Aimed at the low end of the smartphone market, the Orbit has a 4-inch touchscreen, a 1GHz processor and runs Windows Phone 7.5 ‘Tango’.
At launch ZTE said that NFC will not ship as standard, but will be included at the request of individual carriers. The Windows Phone 7.5 operating system does not offer NFC support.
The device is known as the ZTE Render in the US. The Render, though, is not advertised as having any NFC capability.
