EE adds phones to Cash on Tap NFC payments service

The Samsung Galaxy Note II can now run Cash On Tap

UK mobile network operator EE’s Cash on Tap NFC payments service is now available to owners of Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy Note 2 and 3, and Sony Xperia Z1 phones.

The new handsets join the existing lineup of the Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 LTE and Sony Xperia SP, enabling owners to make contactless payments of under £20 in over 230,000 outlets across the UK, including McDonald’s, Caffè Nero, Pret A Manger and Greggs.

“Cash on Tap is one of the most convenient ways to pay for everyday items, removing the need to reach for your wallet or search out loose change,” says EE’s director of propositions Simeon Bird. “We’re pleased to be announcing the next compatible handsets, allowing even more EE customers to benefit from the simplicity and control the service offers them”.

Further Cash on Tap compatible handsets are due to be announced in the coming months, says EE.
