Luxury phone maker Vertu has unveiled the Constellation, a hand-built NFC smartphone which combines a scratch resistant sapphire crystal screen and a polished titanium body wrapped in calf leather.
The Constellation houses a 4.3-inch HD display, 13 megapixel rear-facing camera for shooting 1080p video and a Skype compliant front-facing 1.3 megapixel shooter.
Running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core 1.7GHz processor, the Constellation also includes 32GB of internal memory, WiFi and Bluetooth LE. The handset offers secure NFC with “support for embedded and SIM-based secure elements.”
The high-end device also features a collection of ringtones especially composed for Vertu and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.
The Constellation is available from later this month and can be pre-ordered in cappuccino, black, orange, mocha or raspberry from €4,900.
