Now you can check out the latest opportunities from around the world and submit your own vacancies (or, indeed, any that you come across) on Near Field Communications World’s new Jobs Board.
We’re happy to post details of full-time, part-time and freelance opportunities and of all types of work in the NFC arena, from technical staff to business development — all free of charge for now, although we may look to make a charge later on.
This week’s vacancies include:
- Qualcomm: Your chance to work on — or take responsiblity for — the technical side of Qualcomm‘s push into NFC. There are five jobs going in all at the company’s Firethorn mobile commerce division. Two are senior positions at Firethorn’s head office in Atlanta — a Director of Systems Engineering, Mobile Commerce and a Director of Engineering, Firethorn Mobile Wallet. The other three are based at Qualcomm’s head office in San Diego, working for the Firethorn Systems Engineering team — a Systems Engineer/Software Architect, Mobile Wallet , a Firethorn Mobile Wallet Staff Software Engineer (Smartphones) and a Firethorn Mobile Wallet Staff Software Engineer (BREW).
- MoLo Rewards: For the more adventurous, this US start-up is looking for a Programmer, Near Field Communication to work on its forthcoming NFC-based service. “Work from home. We don’t need you to give up your day job either,” says MoLo. “We are going to be using NFC devices to change the way people shop, use and redeem coupons among other innovative services and offerings.” Compensation is “negotiable but there is equity on the table.”
