The Huawei Mate 8 is the Chinese phone-maker’s flagship device for 2016, and offers a 6-inch 1080p screen and NFC.
The device is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 950 octacore system-on-chip and runs Android 6. A large 4000mAh battery gives the Mate 8 30% greater duration than 2015’s Mate 7.
AnandTech has more details, and reports that the Mate 8 will be available in China in the first quarter of 2016, with a probable launch for western markets coming at the CES in January.
