Including sticker-based and other non-NFC Forum standard systems, we’ve identified 41 NFC trials and commercial launches in our research for the Asia-Pacific section of The NFC Report, the new research report being written by Near Field Communications World’s editor, Sarah Clark.
The trials and commercial systems identified range from the commercial launch of Maxis’ FastTap NFC service in Malaysia to trials in nine Chinese cities of Watchdata’s SIMpass technology, Pakistan’s patient data collection and monitoring system, Air New Zealand’s sticker-based boarding cards and mass market mobile RFID programmes in Japan and South Korea.
In the next few days, sections on India and Pakistan are to join the sections on Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand that have already been posted on The NFC Report’s website. Sections on trials and experiences to date in Japan, China, South Korea and Taiwan are to follow next.
If you are based in any of those countries or have experience of NFC in Japan, China, South Korea or Taiwan and would like to add your knowledge to the research process, please do get in touch with Sarah Clark.
