One of the areas where Apple Pay needs improvements is transit and stored-value card support. Supporting Suica isn’t enough. There are numerous other transit and stored-value cards out there like PASMO, TOICA, PiTaPa, EasyCard, icash, HappyCash, iPASS, Yikatong, Touch ‘n Go, EZ-Link, PRESTO, OPUS, Compass, ORCA, Clipper, Navigo, and many more. Samsung Pay already supports Smart Octopus alongside with BMAC Yikatong, Shanghai Public Transport Card, Lingnan Pass, T-money, and CashBee. Android Pay is catching up with virtual HOP Fastpass support.
