A quarter of Norway’s population is now using Vipps, a P2P mobile payment solution launched by financial services group DNB and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in May 2015. “85% of Norwegians know about the P2P payments platform and it is the number one downloaded app in Norway,” TCS says. “Vipps makes mobile payments as simple as sending a text message and is available for use on all mobile devices. Another key feature is that it allows short chat messaging between the users.”
