Chinese manufacturer ZTE will launch its first NFC smartphone at MWC 2012. The ZTE PF200 has a 4.3-inch capacitive touch display, 1.2GHz processor, LTE and runs Android 4.0. The device is ZTE’s first own-branded NFC smartphone, though the company also produces the Turkcell-branded T11.
ZTE, the world’s fourth largest mobile phone maker, announced in February 2011 that it would include NFC functionality in its next generation handsets from the second quarter of that year. The company has signed deals with NXP and Inside Secure for the supply of NFC chips.
The PF200 was announced on 20 February 2012.
