The Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro is a rugged Android smartphone “designed and engineered for frontline workers across a variety of industries around the world.”

The Galaxy XCover Pro features NFC that has been certified to EMV Level 1 for use as a mPOS terminal, allowing vendors equipped with the device to accept payments from NFC phones, wearables and contactless cards without extra hardware.

The device features Samsung POS, a mobile-based point of sale solution that has been approved by Visa’s Tap to Phone pilot program.
