The Samsung Galaxy S Advance features a 4-inch super Amoled screen, 1GHz processor, NFC and Android 2.3.
Samsung showed the mid-range smartphone at Mobile World Congress in March 2012. The device is now available at retail in NFC and non-NFC versions for under €300, as noted in the comments below.
It’s perhaps worth noting that there there are 2 versions of this phone.
The GT-I9070 is not NFC enabled, but the GT-I9070P is. At the time of writing (27/06/12) the GT-I9070 is far more prevalent, and the GT-I900P isn’t available at all in the UK yet (for example). You can, however, buy the GT-I9070P from Amazon Germany, as you get the choice between ordering NFC and non-NFC versions.
Thanks c128! Post updated…
thanksfor the info. ive been looking for this phone but seems sellers dont understand this detailed info about the difference between the two phones. most shops say there is only one version of this phone which is not true.
I have the i9070p but not sure if or how NFC works yet in the UK?
