Skanska deploys mobile keys at new headquarters in Warsaw

HID Global helps create an integrated mobile experience and enhances security at the new Skanska office complex in Warsaw — HID Global — PARTNER NEWS — “Spark building employees and their guests can now move throughout the building with nothing more than a smartphone, without the risk of them gaining access to restricted areas — unless the proper access rights are granted. When users arrive at the door, they simply tap their iOS and Android devices to an iClass SE reader using near field communications (NFC) or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and HID’s ‘twist and go’ feature to gain access from a distance. Any changes to the user’s access rights are remotely managed by the administrator through a cloud-based portal.”

Polish banks have almost 600,000 customers using smartphone contactless payments — Cashless.pl — “At the end of September almost 590,000 customers used Android Pay or HCE payments. That means an increase of 180,000 compared to June, when approximately 410,000 used mobile payments, and an increase of over 400,000 compared to September 2016, when banks stated that they have approximately 175,000 HCE users.”


Poland’s Bank Zachodni WBK adds ticket purchasing to mobile app

A bank will give you entertainment through its banking app — Finanteq — “Today the bank officially launched a new functionality in its mobile banking application — Cultural Events. From now on, if customers would like to go to a concert, cabaret show, theatrical performance or festival all they have to do is open the application and buy a ticket for the selected event. The funds for the payment are transferred directly from customer’s current account.”


Poland to introduce mobile ID cards

Poland to roll out mobile phone ID cards in 2018 — Phys.org — “The new system will be rolled out gradually, starting with young people. Mobile phone versions of driving licences, vehicle registration papers, student cards and other documents will follow… Citizens of the country of 38 million people will see their ID cards stored in the cloud and will be able to call up the documents on their mobile phones using a code received by text message.”
