Barclaycard teams up with Timex to launch contactless watch — Campaign — “In the new watch, named the Fairfield Contactless, bPay has been embedded in its leather strap and users can make purchases up to £30 (US$40). Embedding an RFID chip in a watch band does not make the watch as secure as an Apple Watch. Without a biometric or a PIN, the band will be vulnerable to fraudulent use if lost or stolen. That is why the US$40- on transaction size. Same problem as contactless EMV cards.
