Topshop launches second range of bPay contactless accessories

CHAIN REACTION: Topshop x bPay accessories let shoppers make contactless payments

UK fashion retailer Topshop has launched the second collection of Topshop x bPay, a range of accessories that incorporate Barclaycard’s bPay contactless payment technology and enable shoppers to make tap and go payments at contactless terminals.

“The collection comprises bracelets, smartphone cases and key chains in a luxe metal and snake effect design, all created to discreetly hold the small bPay by Barclaycard contactless chip which links to a secure digital wallet,” Barclaycard says.

“The collaboration shows how the worlds of fashion and technology can combine to create a stylish and easy new way for people to pay using contactless for everyday things — be it a morning coffee, a new lipstick or a bus trip across town,” says Tami Hargreaves, commercial director of digital consumer payments at Barclaycard.

Topshop launched its first range of Topshop x bPay accessories in November 2015. The second collection consists of six pieces with a price range of £25-£35 (US$36-US$50). The accessories are available in select Topshop stores, online and through the bPay e-store.
