Softcard confirms it is to shut down

“Softcard technology and capabilities will be transitioned to Google,” the company has told NFC World. “We expect that Softcard will cease to exist as a standalone business.”

Google declined NFC World’s request for an interview to discuss the move in more detail at this time but says it will provide an update “when there is more to share”.

  1. ISIS/Softcard had, genuinely, the worst marketing of any product launch in years. Completely failed to grasp how to connect and communicate with consumers. Failed to make NFC a lifestyle process. No vision. No imagination. No nothing. RIP.
