Ara eTap to offer NFC payments in India

Chennai, India-based technology provider Yeldi Softcom has launched Ara eTap, an NFC sticker-based mobile payments service.

Consumers who sign up for the service will be provided with an NFC sticker to attach to their mobile phones while merchants, retailers and dealers will use an Android NFC handset to process transactions. Mobile remittances will also be supported by the new service and customers will earn rewards each time they use Ara eTap to make a purchase.
