Google has unveiled its hotly anticipated Nexus tablet at the Google I/O developers’ conference in San Francisco.

The Nexus 7 is a 7-inch NFC tablet made by Asus. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and features a 1280×800 display, a quad core CPU and a 12 core graphics processor, and weighs 340g.

The device is available to pre-order for shipping in mid-July to the US, UK, Canada and Australia. Prices start at US$199 for the 8GB version.
