It’s taken a while, but near field communication does now seem to be firmly on the road to becoming an accepted, mass-market technology.
In field trials around the world, consumers have responded to the concept of NFC-based services with a resounding ‘Yes’. Potential new applications are also now emerging all the time as more and more technology companies and academics get involved with looking into NFC and see its potential to advance their area of expertise.
